So I blogged last time, about learning new tips for photography.
They didn't work so good... or I didn't work so good... so I
just went back to what I was doing.

Dmitri spent his time collecting rocks... Which are
easier to photograph than him... :)

He insisted he ride his firetruck... which he is far too big for.
He found out, it's more fun riding it down this little path...

I think he would enjoy sledding :) And I don't know how the one
thing that is never in focus, it's the only thing that's simi in focus
here! But I LOVE his face in this pics! Can you tell he's having fun?

He heard some kids, and insisted he say hi. That's his thing... he
has to say hi to kids that we see out and about. It's almost like it's
a mission for him...

Here, he's saying, "Hi kid!" She said hi back, and he was very
excited about that :}

And then opened the gate to go watch... then tried to run after them.

I distracted him with bubbles... see the one that popped on his
face? So fun! :]

Sunday night, Dmitri and I made brownies. After his bath... I
was doing some cleanup... and heard Dmitri in the kitchen. I
went to see what he was up to... and this is what I saw.
A bare naked bum... and someone taking handful of brownies!!
Mmmhmmm... I guess he thought they were pretty tasty!
When I was getting all the ingredients out, Dmitri said, "Wait
mommy, mommy wait! Dimy not ready!" Then he ran into his
room, and grabbed his chair, for an extra boost.
Dmitri, taking pictures of me, while I was taking pics of him

And yes... that's an Ariel camera... :}
I haven't posted pics of my newest Pyrex finds... and there are
a lot. Saver's has been good to me. Particularly the person who
did the pricing on Saturday.
Dmitri and I drove Daniel to the Priesthood session. It's
at 2pm here, since it's broadcast live, and we needed a little
venture outside. So, hello Savers! I found some good pieces
on Saturday, and they were cheap! Comparatively at least.
I was so so thrilled!
This one was a promotional color for the Golden Bouquet print.
It's so shiny and new looking, but was made in 1965!
It's not one of my colors... but I couldn't pass it up. LOL so
I guess now, I'm just collecting everything I like. Since I
have a lot of colors... that aren't in my colors :}
I was looking up some Pyrex, and seeing pics of the trivets, that
came with the casseroles. I assumed they'd all be together, at
the store... but I stumbled upon 4 together, at Savers, so I
snagged them! Then I started thinking... there are 4 trivets,
and I've only bought 2 casseroles from Savers... so are there
more casseroles I have missed?! Sad. Now I think I need to go
everyday :}
Here's the first piece of Pyrex I bought. It's pretty large, and has
a flower pattern ontop of the lid. It's called Verde.
This one I bought off ebay, with a darker brown. It's called
Woodland. I was trying it out with the trivet...
This print is Early American, and it's a split casserole.
Here's the set up, minus some pieces I bought on Monday.
This casserole is not Pyrex. Well, the lid is Pyrex, but the dish
is Corning Ware. I couldn't pass it up! Made in 1975, called
Country Festival. It's over safe, microwave safe, and stovetop
safe! Not too shabby!
I almost didn't buy this one. It was really beaten up... and
really dule. I read where you can shine it up with Veg Oil.
So I rubbed some on it, and left it on for about an hour. It made it
look a lot better! It didn't come with a lid, so I'll have to find one
on Ebay. It's from the Terra collection.
This green one didn't come with a lid either. It's the same size
as the one above. I'm not sure they collection... so we'll just go with
Solid lime for now....
Are you tired of Pyrex yet?? I hope not... :} This bowl is part of
a chip and dip set, a promotional print from 1958. I couldn't fine the
little bowl that goes with it... so I'll keep an eye out on ebay too.
It's called Balloons - and the morning before I found it, was
looking at pics of the print, thinking how I'd like to find something
in this print. And there it was, that same afternoon!
And some cute little pieces... This is the 1 pint, in the Square Flowers
collection.
This one makes me happy!! It's a lot brighter than I had seen online.
It's part of the Spring Blossom II collection.
Cute little Butterprint casseroles.
And that's all for now! I've consistently found a new Pyrex,
every time I've gone looking! So exciting!! :D
Oh... and lastly, come check out my project post on my BADD blog!!
So we had a nice conference weekend. It was quiet and relaxing.
Daniel's on a wonky schedule... he's on call, but works from
10-6, then is on call the rest of the night, until 10 the next morning.
Dmitri and I have started taking him to work, so we can have the
car. I think we all kind of enjoy it. We all get to see each other in
the morning, so it's pretty nice! The only down side, unless Dmitri's
asleep, is that he cries when Daniel gets out of the car and goes to
work. I always say that we've never forgotten to pick up daddy before,
so we'll be back to get him.
Dmitri is very much a daddy's boy right now. If Dmitri gets a toy,
he needs one for Daniel too. So he and Daniel both got foam swords,
and Dmitri was SO excited to show Daniel! Now the minute Daniel
walks through the door, Dmitri hands him his sword, and they play.
I need to get Dmitri on video, when he's been defeated. He collapses
to the ground. It's pretty adorable :}
Saturday Dmitri got mad at me for interrupting his conversation
with Daniel. He said, "Mommy! Shew fly! Dimy talking daddy first!"
LOL he LOVES his daddy!
Oh... lastly... Dmitri's into Spiderman right now. How could we not
try these on?! Or not buy the Spiderman one.............?
And improvising... this box made a good bowl :]

just went back to what I was doing.
