About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Oh the ducks...

Tuesday... was another slow morning.
We sat in pajamas for too long. I guess
that's what the cold weather does to you.
Makes you lazy and loungy! :)

Later that afternoon, we went over to
Daniel's mom's house, and took some pics
of my nephew.
The pictures were outside and it had snowed
that morning... I didn't think to wear boots.
Even though the snow had melted, I wore
some open toes... and my poor toes were
freezing!!
Even through the burning, it was for a good
reason, because I think we got some cute
pics, even if Cedric was really cold too...I wish this one had come out clearer!!Daniel and Dmitri stayed at the house, and
Dmitri was so excited to play with Cedric
when we got back.
They had a good time racing around Grandma's
house!Later that night, we headed over to
Grandpa's - for his birthday dinner.
The kids had fun dancing around and
playing WII.
Grandpa had gone hunting that morning,
and shot a duck. He had it laying outback,
and Dmitri could see it through the glass
door. He would not leave it alone! He kept
going to the back door, and saying hi to
the duck. Then he would tell us that it
was sleeping.
His Grandpa took him out to give the dog
a treat... which meant Dmitri had to pass
the duck... and say hi to the duck... and
pet the duck... and try to KISS the duck!
Luckily Grandpa stopped him before he
could kiss it.
So then, Dmitri started to notice and point
out all the duck figurines in his house, like
the stuffed duck on top of the bookcase.

So Grandpa took the duck down for Dmitri
to see. Dmitri softly pet it and said hi to it.
He's obsessed. I don't know how he'll feel,
when he learns about death... and that he
pet and tried to kiss a dead duck. But he's
been obsessed ever since seeing Donald at
Disneyland.
These two are darling together! He's
going to miss Ewan when we head back
to Hawaii :(
Some of the kiddies - adorable!!
Wednesday it snowed off and on... which
meant more lounging. LOL I think we
need to head back home, before we get
too lazy!
But, Dmitri did get to catch some snow
in his bucket. So he had fun playing with
that :)Today, we went to Kangaroo Zoo - and
met up with Fifi {Sophie}!Saying hi - I missed the hug. Stupid flash! It was so fun! Dmitri LOVES himself a
bounce house!Daniel even juggled for the kiddies...
Sophie didn't want to go down some of
the slides - so we told Dmitri to go up and
get her, and hold her hand going down.
Didn't work... but good effort! :]
After bouncing, we went to Mimi's Cafe
for dinner. Even after all the bouncing
and climbing - he was still pretty wild
at dinner. But still enjoyable. And of
course, after dinner there was some
shopping for the girls, while the boys
took the kids back to Mike & Jennie's
house. Can't complain about that!

So it was a good time all around! :)
