Well... we really haven't done anything the past
few days, but I do want to squeeze this post in.
Tonight, we brought out some of the Halloween
decorations.
Now, had I been home, I would have decorated
in August... like last year.
However, my parents do things a little different,
and we did the decorating tonight.
Dmitri was having a good time with it, until he
saw one decoration he was NOT keen on.
It's this ghost guy in a coffin, and when you pass
it, it's head pops out, it's eyes are read, and it
screams.
{testing lights - that's safe, right??}
Dmitri was intrigued at first, as to where the ghost
went when it disappeared into the coffin. So he went
for a closer look... and it screamed at him.
And he ran away screaming himself... :[
So the decoration is hidden... and turned off for
now :}
{look what he found!}

We also took the opportunity to snap some
possibly creepy pics. Yes!

Candice and me
Alright, so I've put off posting this, until things
were squared away.
So, one of our cars was stolen about a month
and a half ago. It happened at the beach, the
keys were taken from under a towel and the
thief drove away with it.
I can't say we were all that devastated... the car
has kind have been a thorn in our side since
we bought it a couple years ago. I wont go into
details, but we basically had to get it.
Anywhos - car was stolen, and our insurance
said if it didn't show up after 3 weeks, they'd
start the process of paying it out.
So the end of week 3 was a Friday... and the
car shows up on day one of week 4. Of course.
The back of the car, was apparently parked
under the back of a semi - with it's battery
missing, front seats missing, and carpets missing.
Also, because it had been parked under the semi,
the trunk was smashed a bit - and wouldn't open
at first. Oh - but the person who stole it, was
kind enough to leave the keys in it. Go figure.
So nothing seemed majorly wrong, and we just
assumed it'd get fixed and that'd be that.
The insurance company sends an adjuster out,
and while he's on the phone with Daniel, he says
that since the front seats were missing, it would
more than likely need to be totaled out.
I have no idea what was so special about the seats.
They were heated - and I think had some air
bags in them, and possibly linked to the subwoofer
under the drivers seat. At least that's what I'm
thinking. Because since the seats were missing,
they did total the car out.
I was seriously in shock. Pretty happy, a little
bittersweet, but mostly shocked.
So they finally towed the car out from in
front of our house today, and everythings
been finalized.
I cannot even tell you how hard it was, to be
so far away from the situation, and feel totally
helpless. I mean, on the one hand, being here
was a good distraction. But it was hard dealing
with insurance stuff, getting info, etc etc.
Luckily we had family staying at our house, and
awesome awesome friends we can count on,
and that we trust!
So yes... crazy stuff!
Here are two pics of the car, before it was towed
today.
They switched out our seats, with these ones.
Still don't know why they bothered to put these
seats in... but whatever.
The car was also filled with beer cans and
cigarette. Fantastic.
Based on the outside, you wouldn't think
anything was wrong with it.
And seriously, the thing I'm most bothered
by, is that my stroller was in the trunk...
but it's not anymore. I'm kicking myself for
not taking it with me! But oh well, they're
replaceable, right? I just got such a good deal
on it... :[
Oh yea...
My sister Janine brought Dmitri home a
treat tonight.
Gummy bugs and lighted tweezers!
He thinks they so awesome!
He went over to his Papa and said
"Watch, watch Papa"

Okay... and lastly lastly!
My sister Candice, Dmitri and I went to an
elementary school to use their swings.
We're swinging... and all the sudden, I hear
someone jump over the fence behind us. I'm very
paranoid about dogs, so that's what I thought it was.
I turn to look, and it was some guy jumping over
the fence. He caught his foot on the fence, so he's
just sitting there.
I just did not have a good feeling. It's not everyday
you see a grown man jumping a fence in someones
yard.
So I grab Dmitri {kicking and screaming} and
Candice and I head back to the car.
As we're walking away, I hear him yell to us,
"Hey! Do you have a car?!"
Umm... we moved a bit faster after that!
As we're heading out of the parking lot, there's
an older couple standing on the corner, along with
some other people spread around the street and
a couple cop cars.
Interesting....
We debated, but turned around and asked one
of the policemen if they were looking for
someone. He said they were... and we told
him what we saw, and where.
As we were driving away, my sister looked back
at the school, and the guy was sprinting across
the field.
I still have no idea what he did, or what was
going on, but crazy!

That's crazy that guy jumped the fence. It's good you left. That totally sucks about your car. At least you'll get the money for it and you don't have to drive a car that someone stole and junked up.
