The fastest weekend ever.....
So Dmitri and I picked up Daniel from the airport on
Thursday night. Awesome!
I was seriously so thrilled!!! Dmitri had no idea, even
though I kept telling him where we were going.
No matter how early I leave, Daniel always arrives
earlier... so he got in about 20 minutes early...
Luckily it took him awhile to get off the plane.
Once he found us, Dmitri was a little unsure about
things. I know he remembered Daniel, because he'd
always point him out if he saw him in a picture... and
he talks to him on the phone and computer. But still,
he was a little hesitant.
But once we got back to my parents house, Dmitri
didn't want to let Daniel out of his sight! He was so
happy to have Daniel back!
So... it was an awesome weekend!
Friday, we planned on going to Gardner Village and
check things out.
First, we met some of Daniel's buddies for lunch. We
went to Moochi's... which was way yum!!
After that, we hit up Gardner Village. They didn't
have any fall stuff set up, unfortunately, but it still
reminds me of fall their!
Dmitri slept the first half of the trip, so luckily he
missed the candy store... but he still had fun with
the other shops, and of course the ducks....
tasty... but we're still not sure exactly what the taste was,
because it was not what it said!
LOVES animals, and has no fear. Scary.
awesome peeps!!!
We walked the mall, then had dinner at Cafe Rio. It
was on Daniel's 'must eat' list.
I was disgustingly full after though... so full I was
still full on Saturday morning!!! Yikes. But yum!! :}
Another, Dmitri got to play his his friend Sophie. We
love her to pieces!!! She is so sweet! They get along
pretty well. He's 3 weeks younger than her, and even
though he doesn't talk much... they still play well together.
They were 'cooking' in the kitchen. Sophie tells Dmitri,
"Sit down, I cook for you." And she even tried feeding
him. Adorable!!!
looked at a couple houses... which is apparently what
you do when you're an old married couple... :}
After that, we met with some other favorite people!!
I'm kicking myself for not talking any pics!! But I was
dealing with a no nap crazy child. So the last part of
lunch, I was walking Dmitri in and out of the restaurant
to talk about his behavior.... Ay yi yi.
That night, we met Daniel's family up in Cottonwood
Canyon for dinner and marshmallow roasting.
We got there a little early, so ended up driving pretty
far up. Which I didn't mind. I LOVE the Utah mountains
and scenery!
It was surprisingly warm up there. But the water in the
stream was chilly!
Dmitri fit right in with his cousins. They all threw rocks
into the stream... and climbed rocks.
Dmitri 'accidentally' fell in the stream about a million
times. I don't know why I didn't think to bring him extra
clothes. But I never really expected him to dive into 50
degree water. Little did I know....
But regardless, he had so much fun! And ate SO much!!
He especially loved the pineapple, he's an island boy ;)
And marshmallows.
His Grandpa roasted one, and pulled it out of the fire,
asked Dmitri if he wanted it, then went to cool it off.
But Dmitri was too quick, and snagged it. Even though
it was hot, he devoured it!

wanted to head up for a night in Park City.
Considering we've never had an overnight trip,
without Dmitri {and he's two} we took her up on that
offer!
So we headed up to Park City on Sunday afternoon.
It was "Silly Sunday" so they had a festival and a
bunch of booths up.
It felt so good up there! It was cool and so fallish
{can you tell I love fall?}
So we walked around and then had dinner. We went
to a BBQ place, and really, how could we not. The smell
was overwhelming! :)
We also had some gelato before dinner, a Daniel favorite.
swim stuff, because they had a nice pool and spa, but
ohwell.
We had a nice fireplace in our room too... which we got
to enjoy for an hour... before maintenance came and turned
off the gas. I guess it needed to be replaced :\
But we had a good night! It was super chilly outside, and
we had ice cream and a late night 7 Eleven run. Fun fun!
The next morning, we hit up the outlets. Can't go wrong
there, then back to Dmitri! :) We missed him!!
On Monday, we looked at more houses... and had a impromptu
picnic at the park, with our awesome friends!
The kiddies loved the park, and the hubbies enjoyed some
football and frisbee. While the girls chatted :)
It was awesome!
I hate saying goodbye to him, I wish he was back already.
But a month and a half, which is bearable.
Dmitri did not want to say goodbye. He was crying and
reaching for Daniel :( He even starting climbing out of his
carseat, after Daniel. I had to pull over to get him back in
his seat. Broke my heart!!
He loves his daddy so so much! :(
So he's back in TX. And came back to some crazy rain
from the tropical storm that was a hurricane.
So glad that was nothing serious!!
Sigh... month and a half...
Some randoms,
I checked in on Dmitri, a couple times Sunday night.
I asked my sister how he was, and this is what she
sent back
Eating dinner with papa :}Snoozing on the sofa with dad
hoodie out of the pile and put it on... upside down.
He wasn't happy that I was laughing and taking a
pic, instead of helping him.... :}
battery's about to die!!! And I don't want to go get
the power cord :[
