About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Happy 4th of July!

I feel like we've been up to a lot... but thinking back, we really
haven't been up to much! :}
And my lack of pictures is proof!

Thursday I had an appointment in the morning, and knew it
would be a hassle, and take ten times longer, if I brought Dmitri.
So he spent the morning at his BFF's house. They went to the park,
which is definitely a Dmitri favorite!
After my appt, I met them there - and we hung out for a bit. But of
course once I got there, Dmitri decides it'd be fun to run off so I had
to chase him. So we ended up moving the party indoors - and let the
kiddies go crazy!
That evening, my ward had an enrichment activity. I had to bring
Dmitri, but he wasn't the only kid there, so that was fun for him!
We went swimming and had some appetizers.
It was a bit chilly, and Dmitri kept going in and out of the pool. He
was shaking so bad - but would not keep a towel on! His little lips
were blue! But he still had so much fun... and ate a lot of dip. Yum!!

Friday, I had a dentist appointment to go to, and of course couldn't
bring Dmitri. So I sent him away :)

Lucky for him, it was to someplace really cool! He got to crash
a birthday party of a kid he didn't know... but from what I here,
and from his crying when he got dropped off at home, he had a
blast!
He got to go with his bestest friend Aiden, and had such a fun
time playing amongst all the other kiddies.
At one point, he decided to Superman jump off 4 stairs, and lands
on his belly. I guess all the mommas there had a moment of panic,
but he just got up and continued playing! This boy is crazy! :)

Saturday we got invited to the movies! We saw Thomas, Misty
Island Rescue. Dmitri did good, considering it was only his second
time at the movies. He really wanted to run up and down the
aisles, so there were a couple times I stood in the back and held
him while we watched the movie.
I want to attempt Toy Story 3... but I got to go when I know the
theater wont be crowded!

I spent some of Saturday working on some craft stuff... see pics
below! :)
And then made some 4th of July cupcakes! Dmitri LOVES to
help, and his favorite part is the eggs. He's getting so good at
cracking them, and putting them in the bowl! But his favorite
part is still licking the bowl :}

Sunday... oh my, did we procrastinate!! It was bad. I didn't go
over my lesson until I got to church! I have no idea what the
deal was.
My class was crazy. Not bad... just crazy. But I was so tired...
it took all my energy to stay awake! I even had one of my kids
fall asleep... so I think that was making me more tired :}

We skipped the July 4th activities. We were going to hit up a
concert at the Army base with some friends, but pooped out
because of the crowds, and Dmitri not napping. That just
had bad news written all over it!

Today, I had to go get a TB shot for Dmitri. I want to get
him enrolled in childcare at the base, if I need, so they
require a TB shot.
I drive all the way to the hospital... and was a bit concerned
at the lack of crowd... even more concerned about the good
parking spot I got!
I decide to check anyways... but walk into a ghost town.
There was nobody around.... I check the clinic anyways, but
totally dark. Boo!!!
But, something told me to check Well Baby. I head over, and
hit the button to open the door. The waiting room was silent,
which it never is! But the light was on... so I go to the reception
desk, and there is one lone nurse sitting behind the desk.
She said she had come in to do a reading for one patient, but
the paient hadn't shown up yet. She asked what I needed, and
I told her just a tb shot. She said "Oh! I can do that for you!"
OMG I was so thrilled! I was for sure she'd turn us away!
But she gave him the shot, and a Toy Story band-aid, which
he ripped off even before we got to the car.
So we go back in Weds to get the reading.

We spent the rest of the day running errands. One of which
was to the post office... which I found out was closed...

Tonight we had some friends over... and it was so fun! Dmitri
played his little heart out... so bedtime was nice ;)

And we're on day 3 of him flossing. I still have to hold him down,
but he's not fighting as much... so it's getting better!

Daniel has been doing good. He had a 3 day weekend, and
Saturday went to the movies with a friend he went through
Nursing school with, that was stationed in San Antonio. He
also got invited to their 4th of July BBQ, and saw some
fireworks at a nearby Air Force Base... so he's been keeping
busy!
He's met some friends while he's been there, so that's been
making time go faster for him!

Alright, onto pics!!

I've been on a shirt making frenzy! Mainly doing freezer paper
stenciling.
In the works... instead of paint, I used bleach!
Not a shirt.... but I still like it :)
Possible tool belt on this one... or just leave it?
I need to clean the strings up on this one
He thinks the remotes in his pocket... whatever works...
All sprawled out and comfy!Night!

  1. Youre so talented! I love all those shirts. Dmitri has to be the best dressed child ever.
Love that last picture. Wishing it was Andrew. I'm getting tired of being woken up at 3:45 every morning.

  2. He'll get there Heather! It's probably just a phase, and him enjoying the 'independence'
