I fell asleep last night, after I uploaded all the
pics.
So right now it's Friday mid morning... so I'll
add today's festivities!
Wednesday we had quite a busy day! But it was
really fun - so you can't beat that!
We went to a friends house to try out her bread
machine. We made a nice wheat bread loaf.
A good loaf of bread here is at least $4.50. I can buy a
cheap loaf for $3.50 - but it's not very good.
It's not moist at all and it's hard.
So I want to start making my own! So we tried
her machine, and it was seriously so fun! We mixed
all the ingredients, then it baked in the machine,
and then I picked it up that night.
It turned out so soft and tasty!!
After that, we went home because Dmitri's friends
were coming over to play for a bit. So we definitely
had a lot of fun with that!
We watched Toy Story, and made Toy Story shaped
mac & cheese.
Then Daniel said he wanted to go surfing after he got
off work. So he hurried, and got home around 4 and
we headed to the beach.
The waves were pretty strong, so Dmitri and I didn't
spend too long in the water. But we had fun playing
in the sand.
Daniel went out once, and stayed out for a bit, but
came back and hung out on the sand with us.
There was a little boy who had the same bucket and
water can as Dmitri, so anytime he'd leave... Dmitri
would try to sneak over and steal them. Lol so that
was fun...!
But it was an excellent day!!
Trying to drink the sea water... blech!

Daniel had to rush after the beach. He had his
last kickball game that night. Dmitri and I didn't
go because his team was going out after to
celebrate. They tied, which is good, but Daniel
slid... and oh my... I need to take a pic of his
leg! It's totally scraped up!
I'll have to remind myself to do that :}
Thursday, Dmitri and I woke up and headed
to the Halekoa Hotel pool. They have a military
pool there, and we've heard good things!
So we met some friends there and made a day
out of it.
It took me way too long to get there! Daniel
had the gps, so I had to use my phone, but it
sucked. I made every wrong turn possible in
Honolulu! I hate driving down there! But luckily
I didn't go down any one way streets :}
The stroller was also in Daniel's car, so I alternated
between holding Dmitri's hand, and carrying him.
I let him follow me through the hotel, but he had
to stop to smell EVERY flower, sit on every
bench, check out every pond, and walk on every
curb.
I finally got him moving faster when I told him
he could push the button on the elevator.
But that only lasted until we got out of the elevator.
LOL then he was back to exploring.
But we finally made it to the pool. It was a perfect
day, because it was partly cloudy and we even had
a few sprinkles. But there was also plenty of sun!
So that was fun! We got lunch, and had a shaved
ice... so can't complain about that!

So we were chatting, and look over at Dmitri's
friend Aiden, who is blowing Dmitri's wing up
with straws. And it was totally working! It was
too adorable!! :}
The pool was great! The water was awesome.
Every so often the lifeguard blows the whistle,
and all the kids have to get out for 15 mins, while
they check the PH balance of the pool. That was
Dmitri's least favorite part... :}
But we had a great time! Until the very end
that is.... We have gone almost 2 years, and
Dmitri has NEVER pooped in the pool or in
his swimmers. So I guess there's a first time
for everything... he had some serious trots, so
it was really gross. After I cleaned him up, we
decided it was time to head home.
Daniel thinks it was from drinking too much
salt water the day before. He pooped 3 more
times after we got home. And one of the times,
he didn't make it to the toilet - so there were
3 spots on the wood floor and one on the carpet.
So that was fun to clean up... I'm so glad we
purchased a carpet cleaner! Especially one that
also steam cleans the wood floors.....
Today, we met with friends to tie dye shirts at
the park!
I had an Elmo shirt I made Dmitri a while back,
and it was always a little plain - so I thought it'd
be fun to tie dye it.
He didn't care about the tying part, so I did that
while he ran around. But he was all over the dying
part. He'd had to use all the colors. So it'll be a
very colorful shirt :}

But it was really fun for him! I'll have to take a
pic of it when it's dry.
We were there for a couple hours, and got stuck
in a rainstorm that lasted a couple of minutes.
But today almost feels like fall! It's still 80 degrees
outside, but it's overcast and there's a nice cool
breeze. I'm loving it!
Dmitri and his friend Isaac
Oh, sadly we lost Dmitri's favorite ball at the park.
Another kid ran off with it - and when he came
back, he didn't have the ball with him. And I
couldn't find it anywhere. So we'll have to get him
another one.
Double oh - Dmitri played 'sprinkler' with the
water fountain. That was interesting....

Some randoms... Dmitri loves the $5 video
wall at Target.
He also loves the bikes.... we spend at least
20 minutes playing with them, everytime we
go to the store.
So if he's lucky, he'll get one for his birthday.
Unless I can find one on Craigslist first!
And some cuteness :}

Toy story shaped mac and cheese? I wonder if I could get Andrew to like it if it's toy story shaped. You guys do so many fun things. We are horribly anti social.
