So I guess Mother Nature nixed my beach plan.
I wanted to go Friday - but woke up to overcast
skies.
Then Saturday - woke up to rain.
So no beach for us.
The weather must have affected my mood on
Friday - because I was a total grump.
I finally mellowed out around noon - and Daniel
gave me some time to myself.
He had to run up to work to fax some stuff and
took Dmitri with him.
So it was nice to have some quiet time to myself.
Even if it was just to do laundry. It was still nice.
Dmitri and I hung out on the sofa while Daniel
played some computer games.
Saturday we took care of some much needed
organization. For awhile we had more of a mess
then organized - but I'm glad we did it and got
some stuff in order.
We're strongly leaning towards a storage unit.
We just don't have the space for all out stuff!
Mostly we're being taken over by bins. And it'd
be nice to use our clothes closets for more then
bins.
So me might be checking them out soon. I checked
online, and there a lot more reasonable then I
thought.
I had a baby shower to go to last night. They
said I could bring Dmitri if I wanted - so when
I found out there'd be other kids there, I decided
why not.
Daniel took the opportunity to hit up a movie.
So he had a nice evening too :]
Well we still had some rain Saturday night, and
the shower was at 7. I have a hard time seeing
at night, and the drive was kind of... scary.
There weren't a lot of lights, and I had to drive
up a one way highway at 55mph, with rain, and
not being able to see.
Luckily we made it safe - but had problems finding
the shower location! There were no lights on at the
complex - and I was so confused, even after calling
for directions. But finally found it.
It was fun - there was a good group of ladies from
my ward. And some kids for Dmitri.
He was really timid at first. He just sat on my lap
and didn't want to talk to anyone.
Well, he warmed up and I spent the evening chasing
him.
I think I've said this before - but Daniel and I avoid
going to unchildproofed houses.
It's just so hard to steer him from all things cool
and breakable. And of course I don't want him to
break anything. So we just don't end up having a
good time.
But anyways - that's that! We still enjoyed ourselves.
Sunday - today - we went to church.
Daniel taught the Missionary class, and I had my
class.
I took Dmitri to Nursery today. He got upset when
I left, but I knew he was in good hands.
My class went well. We now have a chart to keep
track of who's being reverent - and good. So that
actually helped a lot! Plus I had 5 kids instead of
the usual 9-10. So I'm curious to see how the chart
works when everyone is there.
**And we did have a farter. Seriously. I don't get
what's up with that. I guess that's what happens
when you have one girl and the rest boys.
I got out before Daniel - so I picked Dmitri up. He
was the first one to get picked up - and his teacher
was holding him.
When he saw me - he started wiggling and fussing,
so she put him down and he ran up to me.
She said he gets scared when he's not the first one
picked up. Poor guy! I told him I'd never forget
about him!!
But he did really good in class. His teacher's son
also teaches Nursery - and she said Dmitri did
better because he was in there today.
Dmitri sat with him and played with him, and
was a lot calmer.
Lol so for now - as long as there's at least one guy
in there - Dmitri is good!
So just a quiet evening at home. We had chicken
enchiladas for dinner.
Dmitri had an ice cream sandwich for dessert, his
first. And he was in heaven!
He also got an early bath because of it :}

He was talking and singing to his reflection in
the faucet. And just being crazy :]
This is what I got before the battery died.

Hey! I recognize that penguin blanket! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe seriously LOVE that blanket AC! I kind of stole it from Dmitri... :} And it's the first blanket we pull out when we're cold, or someone's sick - or just need something to cuddle with :) We love it!
