Today was off to a good start - I think.
The baby came over, Dmitri woke up
earlier then usual, and Daniel got to go
in late. And I got a shower when I woke up
{mainly because I didn't push snooze a million times:}
So EVERYONE was happy!
But we had a really great day overall.
Daniel took Dmitri running with him.
{in the jogging stroller}
And when Daniel took a break to do some
sit-ups, Dmitri followed suit and bent back
and forth touching his toes.
Then when Daniel did push-ups - Dmitri
got on the ground and flapped his arms around.
Dmitri just wanted to be outside today.
And I couldn't blame him - because it was
a nice day!
So we all went out front and drew with the
sidewalk chalk. Which happens to be his
new favorite thing.
Mine too, when he lets me have one of the
12 chalk sticks he hoards :}
After that - lunch, then a nap for the baby
and then Dmitri.
Dmitri has gotten particular about which
Sesame Streets I turn on.
He'll hand me the remote to turn it one,
so I'll pick whichever one I'm not sick of.
And then sit the remote down.
He knows which button to push to get to the
Tivo menu, so a few minutes into the episode,
he'll grab the remote, turn it back to the
menu, and hand it to me and say "do"
So I'll turn it to another - but same thing.
And then another - or two until we land on
the one he wants to watch.
He gets his stubbornness and particularness
from me... so I guess I can't say much...
Daniel went in to work at 1, and had 2 meetings
to go to.
The first one was a couple hours, then the
second one lasted until 7:30pm!
They also had a farewell for a co-worker
moving on to a new duty station.
A couple hours after Daniel left - so did the
baby.
So I decided I wanted to get out too - and
Dmitri and I headed to the park.
There was a good group of kids. Dmitri had a
fun time chasing some around - and spinning
in circles, listening for airplanes and chasing
the birds.
He met a new friend there. She's 16 months,
and they ran around the grass together.
We brought a ball with us - so I thought maybe
they'd play with the ball together. Yea - what
was I thinking?
Dmitri hoarded the ball - and when the little
girl got it, she would not give it back! It was
pretty cute - but she didn't think so.
She was all business.
Luckily Dmitri lost interest when he found the
drinking fountain.
Dmitri was SO dirty today! I washed him off
in the sink a couple times... but still, chalk and
more chalk mixed with dirt and food make for
a dirty baby.
My sister sent Dmitri some bathtub crayons
for Christmas - and we got them today.
{thank you auntie neenie!}
So we tested them out.
They're actually really cool! And clean off
really easy. So I had fun too. When Dmitri would
let me have one :}

After his bath - we watched tv in bed while
we waited for Daniel to get home.
Playing with the fan remote
So not a bad end to our day!
I really want to hit up the beach tomorrow.
So I'm hoping for clear skies. We shall see though!
Oh - and this is post number...
300!
