About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

This boy.

Today we were on the go!
Woke up - cleaned a bit - then headed
over to a Mary Kay presentation. Not
the biggest fan of them - but it was to
support a girl in our ward - so I was
willing. Plus there was good food ;)

It was nice because Dmitri's friend Ava
was there - and another friend from
church, Eli. He's quite a bit younger, but
Dmitri still enjoyed the playtime.
He also found the piano there - and had
a great time 'tickling the ivories':} He came
home with a booboo though. He came
running into the kitchen crying - and had
a red mark on his cheek. Still don't know
what he did! But I'm glad it was nothing to
do with an outlet! At first he had his fingers
in his mouth - and my first thought was that
he found the only uncovered outlet in the
house and jammed something in it. But that
didn't seem to be the case. Wooh! I know - I'm
a total worrywart!

We did facial cleansing {exact words?}
and then put on foundation.
The exfoliating was nice - but I ended
up with in incredibly itchy forehead! The
whole afternoon....
I don't know what that was about - maybe
irritation. Meh.

It was great - once we got home, Dmitri
zonked out! Not a peep! AWESOME!!
We've been having problems with naps
and bedtime lately.
He's always been such a great sleeper, but
lately, not so much.
The last couple days he hasn't even had a
nap - and has gone to bed an hour later
then usual. I think I ruined it by holding him
one afternoon until he fell asleep. Now that's
all he wants :[

Anyways - put Dmitri down - yay! :}
I babysat a girl in our ward today. She's 3,
and was pretty easy to take care of.
We watched UP! which is pretty dang cute!
Dmitri woke up towards the middle/end
of it and was watching it for a bit. There's a
scene where these dogs are attacking - and
he freaked out!
He started crying and ran over to me! Poor
guy!:]
We spent the rest of the afternoon playing
with toys and reading 'Curious George.'
So it was a pretty good day.

Daniel was charge nurse today - and it was
pretty quiet on his end. So that always adds
to an already good day!

We got about a half hour of thunder storms
tonight. And a brief moment of rain.
All the forecasts show 4 days of rain. Two
days down - and NO RAIN! Geh!
It's actually been sunny. Yesterday it was
almost a cloudless sky. But it was cooler,
so I'll take that.

So I tried putting Dmitri to sleep tonight.
Screamed for 45 minutes. Screamed. So
I took him out - and held him - and sang
to him for about a half hour. He'd doze off
and I'd lay him down - and he'd wake up.

So eventually I just took to the living room
and he just sat on the sofa with me.
Daniel tried again once he got home - and
almost had him asleep. He left his room and
Dmitri woke up. So Daniel went and sat in
there again {Dmitri in his crib} and Dmitri
fell asleep so Daniel quietly left the room.
But Dmitri immediately woke up! He did it
about 5 times - and Dmitri would always
wake up!
So we ended up going back to the original
plan - cry himself to sleep. It worked this
time and he was out in a few minutes.
Ugh. I have no idea what's going on. But I
hope he's over it soon :[

This is from today. He will use anything
as a step ladder. Even push up bars.......
