About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Team...... both?

So I've been trying to find as much craft stuff
as I can. It's been hard here. Unfortunately the
island is pretty limited in that department.

There is a big market for scrapbooking - but
I'm not a scrapbooker. I just like to collect the
paper :}

But there have been some craft fairs going on
this week - so I decided to grab our friends
Chelsea and Ava - plus Dmitri - and go check
them out!

The one today was at the Dole Cannery downtown.
I was excited when I first read that because I
had it in my head that the Dole Cannery was
across the street from the Dole Plantation - which
meant we could make a stop for pineapple sorbet!

Well.... no. It wasn't there. It was downtown in
Honolulu - but luckily we made it there with
out too much incident. I'm sure I peeved off
quite a bit of people though :}
{the California driver comes out in me when I drive downtown:}

So we got there. It was supposed to have 60 booths,
but only 2 or 3 really had what I went for - so
that was a bummer :[ We did take home some good
ideas, so we'll have to replicate them.
Dmitri was not having the craft fair. No. He was
over it so fast - even lunch didn't make him
happy. Hmm. So I picked up some kettle corn for
Daniel and off we went.

Daniel got off at 3 today - so that made things
better for him today!
I love when he's off early. Or better yet - off.

Tonight was our ward Thanksgiving dinner. I
had entered the pumpkin bake off. There were
two categories; pies, and non-pies. I did the no-pie
category. I opted to make pumpkin creme puffs
which were surprisingly easy and kind of fun! I will
be making more - and trying different fillings!
{if you attempt to make them - double the powdered sugar for the filling}
I haven't heard who won yet. We had to skip out
because we had tickets to see New Moon!

Yea - but the dinner was great. There was a really
good turn out.
Dmitri was a little wired, so Daniel and I took
turns chasing him.
I ran up and down the halls with him - literally.
So that burned a good amount of energy!

Yes - so sitter for Dmitri - and New Moon for Daniel
and I! We bought tickets earlier in the day - and
lost track of time at dinner - so there was a bit
of a rush to get to the theater and find 4 seats
together {along with Chelsea and Nate}. But we
did!! We made it with time to spare - and had 4
seats together!

Okay - movie was good. I'm torn on teams now,
but after seeing how fantastic Jacob looked - I
am heavily leaning to team Jacob. And how could
you not - that Jacob was gorgeous!
Please nobody leave me angry comments! X}

But it was great. I'm still confused as to the comedy
level of the movie. The audience we were with
laughed at everything. Everything. It was a little bit
odd.

Anyways. Dmitri slept pretty good for his sitter,
and fell right back to sleep once we got home. Not
one peep from him - and he was pretty awake
when I laid him in his crib. So relieved!

Daniels off tomorrow - so there might be more
craft fairs in my near future.
Right now I'm about to fall asleep on the spot,
but I have a sink full of dishes calling my name.
Depressing.

Oh who am I kidding. I'm off to bed. G'nite!

Apparently he's reverting back to baby mode....I wont lie. This drives me nuts. Almost as nuts as
him constantly turning the air conditioner off. Almost.
{turning on and off the lights - I don't care about the pacifier}

  1. I think that you should be in a craft fair. Sell your cute plaques and things you make for Dmitri and everyone else. I think you would make lots of moola.

  2. I agree about team both. Though I must say Jacob does look fantastic so that does give a little more weight his direction. Mmmm...
