About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Off to a busy start!

Woke up this morning in 'go' mode!

Well - first fed Dmitri breakfast - then
got him ready for the day.
{I was still pj clad. It wouldn't be a Saturday otherwise}

We headed out to get the last couple of
things for the cake.
I couldn't find my large decorating tips,
so I went to Wal Mart for a pack of them.
Well they only had the normal size - so
I just used that.
And they worked fine.
But I came home tonight and opened the
spice cabinet. MMmmhmmm... the large
tips. Sitting there. Taunting me.

I delivered my cake - and then headed
back home to do some clean-up.

We headed out to the baptism which was
really nice.
I don't know if this is stake wide or world
wide - but they've started baptizing all
the kids from each ward on the same
day. Kind of like a combined session.

Luckily our ward was first - because there
were 6 or 7 kids getting baptized!

So our ward went - she was baptized, then
we all went to another room for the
confirmation. While we did that, the next
ward went and did their baptism. Etc etc.

I remember {I think} I was baptized on
the same day as the other kids in my
ward who had just turned 8 - but I don't
remember if it was a stake thing - or just
a ward thing. And it was weird - my baptism
was at a building on the grounds of the Oakland
Temple.
I don't know why we drove that far - since
we lived 30 mins away from Oakland.
I should ask my parents - maybe I'm getting
all of this wrong X}

Anyways - after the baptism session Dmitri
and I {Daniel had to work} headed to the
open house the family was having afterwards.

It was really nice! Dmitri had a great time
playing with all the kids.
There was a container of sodas sitting in ice
water. Well the kids were playing with the
ice and freezing their hands - Dmitri thought
it was HILARIOUS! He was cracking up!
I only had to pull the 'time out card' twice
because he wanted to play with their DVR.
It kind of worked... but distraction worked better.

Dmitri chowed down on watermelon and
loved sitting at the kids table. There was a
little red camping chair at the table - and he
just sat there - having a great time with the
other kids, eating his watermelon and lumpia.
So that was nice for me.... :)

My cake held up nicely! It only got a little
sticky once it came outside. The humidity got
to it - but nothing too terrible.
Once they cut it and served it, I heard that
one of the kids asked it the fondant was gum.
:}

So we had a nice day!
Daniel too. He had 3 easy patients that turned
into 2. So got to love that!

Look how dirty he got! He had on a dress
shirt and tie - but soaked them with watermelon.I like the Q-Tips in mid air :}

Bath time!looking through the bag for toy to add to his arch.
behind him on the wall..He sticks his whole head under the water!
He hardly ever sucks in water doing it.And we found out how much water the lofa
expresses when submerged and then shaken.
Thanks Dmitri....
