So tonight was Enrichment night
at church.
They taught us how to plant a garden
and how to make our own organic
compost. And then gave us ideas on
reusing and repurposing items for pots.
It was really quite interesting!
They also served us dinner - which
was pasta and bread that were seasoned
with herbs grown from one of
the ladies gardens. And salad with
lettuce and tomatoes from her garden.
Then pumpkin spice bread.
OMGsh I love all things pumpkin.
I wanted to eat the whole pan.
So tomorrow I'm going to buy some
seeds and plants some veggies.
I have plastic bottles I can use as
planters - so I'm quite excited.
They also gave us little things of
lettuce to take home.
They had a lot left over - and asked
if anyone wanted them.
I said I did! Yay!
You have no idea how excited I am
about them :)
I hope my garden will do great.
I'm an over water-er and over
sun-er... but I'm being optimistic!
Oh and originally I was going to
have to bring Dmitri because Daniel
worked till 7:30. But he got off at
3:30 - so he watched Dmitri - which
was quite nice :)
Daniel worked in the ER today.
I usually get a morning text
from him - but today I didn't get
anything till 1:30!
He said they were soooo busy!
But his patients were easy - which
is a plus - even if there are a lot.
Dmitri and I were playing around
today, and I found a bandanna and
put it on him.
He kept it on long enough for me
to take pics - and he found the
whole thing very amusing :)
I tried to get a good pic of him from
behind, but he kept turning with the
camera.
He looked like he had bunny ears
from the back.
:}

I wish this pic was more
focused!
Excuse my ugly face and
'too long out of the shower'
unbrushed hair :}
But I LOVE Dmitri's face!
Lol and my creepy smileXD
And Dmitri being over the photoshoot
And totally over the photoshoot
and bandanna

Aahh...
I caught Dmitri climbing [his new thing]
the laundry basket, to get to the ottoman,
to get onto the bed....
See - look how bad I've been neglecting
my laundry.
That's all clean stuff that's been torn through
and needs to be folded and put away.
Perhaps tomorrow.... :}

LOL! "And totally over the photo shoot". So funny!
ReplyDeleteGood job learning about gardening. That sounds like a really good enrichment night. Dmitri looked so cute in the bandana. My kids aren't huge on photoshoots either but..a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.
ReplyDeleteyou have such a tan little child. andrew is lily white. i think he might end up taking after me on this one. and burning fairly easily but then it just fading.
ReplyDeletei am an over waterer and over sunner too!! in fact my strawberry plant (which i thought would have the flowers by now) isn't doing anything. except the edges of the leaves are turning a red brown. ugh.
