So I'll have to find some from the archives
:)
So the happenings... yesterday Dmitri and
I met up with Chelsea and Ava at the pool.
I was curious to see how Dmitri would do
since we haven't been swimming in a while.
But he loved it even more this time then
the last time!
He kept trying to swim on his own and
he would stick his face in the water.
I think he only sucked in water a few
times - but other then that he did awesome!
We need to get to the pool more. I want
Dmitri to stay familiar with the water.
So Dmitri has been so crazy lately. He is
into everything! When I cook he always
hoovers under my feet.
Well I'm usually good about keeping him
away from the oven when it's on - because
our oven gets so hot and lets off so much
heat.
Well he snuck over when I was at the
sink and stuck his fingers under the oven
door [the crack between the door and broiler]
and burned one of them. So now he
has a blister. Luckily it was just one
finger - and nothing serious. I just gave
him some Tylenol and he was fine.
I just can't wait for this 'boo boo' stage
to be over! He is always falling or hitting
his head or his newest thing - getting
stuck under his walker or the kitchen chairs.
I think I rescue him at least 6 times a day.
And he's figured out how to climb up the
sofa.
But he still has no fear of falling - so that
freaks me out!
Well anyways - today Dmitri and I met
up again with Chelsea and Ava and went
walking. We went about 5-5.5 miles - so
that was very nice! But it was soooo hot!
The sun was beating down! I felt like one
giant ball of sweat. But it was worth it.
I felt good the rest of the day!
Other then that - not much going on here.
I'm caught up on laundry - my nemesis
and Daniel's almost down with the dreaded
floor he's been working on this week.
Daniel wants to check out some surf
boards on Saturday - so hopefully that
goes well!
Picture time!
Sophie and Dmitri!
I love this pic :)
From back in October.

This movie was taken either the same day
as the photos - or the day after.
And my Miss Bianca is in it! i miss her -
but Misha and Bianca should be here in
August!
Yay!
I miss my girls

Hazel crawls under chairs and gets stuck all the time lately too. Busy kids!
ReplyDeleteoh my, i think your boo boo stage is just beginning. andrew is almost 20 months and i don't even think we've begun to hit our stride. i'm afraid people look at him and see all his bruises (from falling, running into things, dropping things on himself) that i think they think we beat him.
ReplyDeletegood luck at the surf board shop.
i think it's great that you are familiarizing dmitri with water. the only contact andrew has had with water is baths. oh and when he went in the ocean with my mom and matthew WAY back last june. but it was in hawaii, so we can say andrews first trip to the beach was at least a good one.
