That's what Dmitri says in protest.

Alright - so onto the weekend.
Yesterday morning we had church,
and then hit the beach!
Wahoo!
So Daniel decided to stick Dmitri
on a boogie board... and it was quite
humorous. Of course I was slow going,
and didn't video the best parts, but
I did video some. And no worries -
Daniel kept a tight grip on Dmitri.
Dan said that Dmitri was balancing
pretty well [as well as a 10 month old
on a boogie board can] and didn't
panic when they got splashed by
a big wave.
Dmitri is a water freak! He LOVES it!
So that was Sunday. The water was
awesome - and we all had a good
time boogie boarding.
I've given up - there's no avoiding
sand at the beach...
Look at us awesomes
Dmitri learning the ropes :)
And wiping out...
OMGsh I love him

Today was Brian and Tiffany's lastday here. They went to Pearl Harbor
this morning - and Dmitri and I went
to the Navy Exchange and browsed
around.
I'm looking for a good front
facing car seat. I've found one I like
at Target, but it didn't get very good
customer reviews.
Nothing about safety [except
that it's a pain to install if your car is
older and doesn't have car seat anchors]
But the big complaint was the head
rest being too large and pushing
the babies head forward. That and
they said that the babies slouch
forward when they fall asleep -
because of the head rest.
I sat Dmitri in it at the store - and
he seemed comfy. So I don't know.
I might get it and try it.
There's another one that's a lot
less expensive - but there's like
no padding! Oddly enough it got
really good reviews - and there
hasn't been a recall on it ever [5yrs]
so it's a contender. But seriously,
there's like no padding :\
Here's the one we really like

The 'no padding' contender
On a different note - I lovethat at 25 years old, chrimped
hair still makes me feel like a
mermaid.
:}

Okay - he does this at least
15 times a day. I don't know why
he insists on sitting in his toy box.
But I think it's adorable :)
Until he gets stuck that is...

We have that Eddie Bauer car seat for both kids. I got them at target, too. We like them a lot. No complaints. I love your mermaid hair!
ReplyDeletelove the beach pictures. looks like SO much fun. we bought andrew a front facing car seat from Alpha Omega. when we went to utah last year my friend had one that you could tilt back, so they could nap. but it all depends on how reclined your car seats are. my backseat just doesn't have any natural recline in it so andrew's wont recline. wish i had known that before buying it. so his head does fall forward when he sleeps. and it bothers me, but it doesn't seem to bother him. my mom also had one that reclines, and i want to say hers is evenflo. sorry this has turned into a comment about car seats.
ReplyDeleteI like the crimped hair! I recently bought some pillow curlers that you sleep in...it reminded me of when I was little and my mom would roll my hair in the pink sponge curlers for dance! Awww! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachael! That makes me feel so much better - I really think I'm going to get it :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Heather - that actually helped a lot. I didn't realize that the reclining was based on the actually seat. But that makes since! That was another thing people complained about with some of the car seats.
Pink rollers!! I could never sleep well with them - but I loved the outcome!! :D
