About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Slacker!

I haven't been in a writing mood lately.
Actually - I haven't been in a cleaning mood
lately. But I have been in a good mood - so
I guess that's a plus!
Hmm what has been happening...
Well Mr. Dmitri has been a fuss a muss!
He's been teething, so it's expected. His
sleep patterns have been thrown off and
it's been hard getting him to go to sleep.
But [thank goodness] one of his top teeth
broke through yesterday! He was in an
excellent mode all day - but not so good
last night. He didn't go to bed till after 11:30!
I started the process at 8:30 and he went
right to sleep. But then he woke up an hour
later and the crying ensued. He was fine if
we let him stay up and hang out - so we did
that for a bit. But then he just got rotten and
grumpy - but so tried. I assumed it was due
to the teething, so I gave him so Infant Tylenol
and all was better. Lol he started to get delirious
from exhaustion and was being really funny - but
then he crashed while I was holding him.
He doesn't give me the opportunity to cuddle
with him. Everytime I try, he goes with it for
about a minute, then he sees something interesting
that he wants to get, or he wants down to go exploring.
So when he fell asleep while I was holding him, I
took advantage and cuddled with him for awhile.
So he slept great after that. He woke up around 7, then
back to sleep until 9. It's nice to know that even
when he goes to bed late, he still keeps his same
sleeping pattern. He always wakes up about once
after 7 hours of sleep, then goes back to sleep for
2 more hours. I love it.
The weekend was chill. Daniel was off on Friday,
so we just hung out. Saturday and Sunday we
lounged in jammies and watched Conference.
We also made a Toy R Us run for Dmitri. He
got a gift card for Christmas that we needed
to use! We walked the isles looking for the
perfect toy. We found it! It's a caterpillar that
teaches the Alphabet, numbers, colors and
sounds. Dmitri likes toys that talk and light
up - so it was perfect.
Yes... so that's really all we've done.
We've taken a few walks, and the pool
just opened up Saturday - so we're hoping
to use it today!
And at some point I hope the cleaning bug will
kick in! I decided Friday to organize some stuff,
and that never goes well because I loose interest
in it - and then just leave the mess and go off
to do something else. Blah.
K - I can't remember anything else we did, so that's
it :)
Oh - and we took some Easter pics of Dmitri. Some
turned out good - but he was ready for a
nap - so he wasn't super smiley. Lol and he was
ignoring me. We might have to have a round two :)
Oh yea - I remember what else.
We have not had hot water since Friday!
At first we assumed it was a building thing.
Then we decided it wasn't, so Daniel
went to check the pilot light, and it was out.
The electric guy came to read our meter, and it
was windy out - so I assume that's what made it go out.
They're both in the same closet outside.
So Daniel re-lit it - and it still didn't give us
hot water! Well we did some research online
today - and it's fixed now. Yay!
Lol I don't mind a cold shower - but
that was was COLD!
You learn so much when you buy a house!
I guess that's good :)
