About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Testing testing

Daniel and I went in Friday afternoon for my Gestational Diabetes and Anemia testing. I was dreading it for a couple reasons -
1. Being there for an hour!
2. I've heard the drink is not so good!
3. I was scared I'd test positive!
So time actually flew - I had my standard checkup in between the testing time - so that helped. Anywhos - so I go in to get my drink - she gives me this 12 oz bottle that looks like orange soda - low and behold - it is orange soda! :D It tasted delicious! I was ready for a second bottle - downed that sucker in 2 minutes! I also spent the next hour burping - thanks to the carbonation - but yum yum! :)
Anywhos - took my test an hour later [one draw for the diabetes and one for the anemia [I always enjoy watching them draw my blood. It fascinates me:] - and that was that. They told me the doctors office would only call if the tests came back positive.
Well we get home and about two hours later - they call. AHH! And of course of all the times my phone decides to NOT ring - this is the time. They also called at 5 to 5 and I saw the missed call at 5:07 - call back - they're closed. NOOO! I listened to the message and it was the standard "call us back on Monday."
How mean is that!? I've already psyched myself into thinking I have gestational diabetes - and they go and give me more proof - then leave me hangin! Blah!
Well luckily the weekend went fast. I called a bit ago and they told me I'm a little bit anemic and to just start taking an iron pill [why they can't tell me that on the message - I do not know]. They also told me my glucose test came back just fine - so no worries there - sigh - that's very good.
So yea - I'm very happy I don't have the gestational diabetes. I've read if you have it during your pregnancy - your likely to get diabetes at some point in your life. Boo to that! Daniel said he'd give me the shots if I had it though XD
But yea - yay! :D
