Ok - here is a list of new goals I've set.
1. Taking yoga classes at the gym.
I need something that isn't an intense workout - and just walking on the treadmill has become boring. I'm hoping a class will be just what I need. Now I'm not a big workout class person - I always look like a dweeb because I'm so uncoordinated with my body - and everyone else seems so advanced :/
I figure yoga doesn't require a lot of fast movement or crazy steps - so I should be okay.
2. EAT BETTER!
I think overall I've been doing okay. I try and eat every 2 to 3 hours [and have been really good with that]. I just need to calm it back down on the soda intake. I was doing really good with my water drinking - but stopped when we ran out of water bottles. I should buy more - I seem to do better with bottled water.
I need more fruit. I've been eating a lot of watermelon lately - so that's good. I just walk the produce section and nothing jumps out at me. I've been appled and oranged out from eating too many when I first got preggos.
3. Calm down on the candy and sweets!
I'm usually not a big candy person - but since being preggos - bring it on [this baby loves his candy!]! This worries me with my gestational diabetes appt coming up [on Friday]. They say there's not much you can do to avoid getting it - but I don't think eating a lot of candy and sweets - plus my upped laziness are helping. I need to restrict this intake.
4. Walk the dogs more.
We've been pretty good this last month. The weather has been nicer - so that makes it a lot easier. They are just so much more mellow when they've been walked. That and it's so good for their health and well being. Well I guess Daniel's and mine too :)
It's weird - Misha doesn't potty at all on walks! She's just so content to be out and going somewhere new - she's just in her own little world. Such a cutie :)
5. Swim my butt off this summer!
My parents have a pool - and I need to take advantage of this! They live about 30 minutes away - so that's not so good on gas [I paid $62.00 today to fill up our friggin' Subaru - it was sad. It's a sedan - not a monster SUV! It shouldn't be $62.00! I feel bad for those with the moosey SUV's. That sucks.]. But yea - swim swim swim! Takes pressure off my body - feels good - get a nice tan while I'm doing it :)
6. Be better church going folk.
Well we do make it to church - we need to get better about reading scriptures and saying prayers. Especially with a baby coming! We keep saying we're going to start and be better - but never quite get on track.
I also need to stop relying on Daniel to get me up on Sundays. I think it's because my parents always woke me up - so I don't bother. And why does 9 am on Saturday and Sunday seem so much earlier then 9 am on a M-F? This I can't figure out.
Well that's my list for now. I don't want to overwhelm myself too much XD
Oh so I think I just went threw a bit of the nesting phase. I bought Dmitri some clothes - and sheets recently. I know he's not due for another 2 months - but I felt the need to be somewhat prepared just in case. Anyways - I bought $70.00 worth of clothes for $30.00! I had a $10.00 off coupon from Old Navy - and they had some cute stuff that was on a 40% off sale. I'm stoked! And I bought him the CUTEST sheets from Pottery Barn Kids [I think they're darling]! They're white with green and blue whales on them. They were on sale for $11.99 - and for PBK - that ain't bad!

What is it with waking up on the weekends? Seriously! I wake up naturally about 6 AM on the weekends now, but when my alarm goes off at 6 AM M-F..MEH. LOL! Those sheets are super cute! I can't wait for your baby shower! I finished the top of the blanket on Sunday! You're seriously gonna die when you see the fabric I found! It's so you, but little boy too! YAY! :D
ReplyDeleteOh and wait to be on the healthier-living! I'm going to try and follow in your footsteps! :)
