Keeping up!

Well... a lot has happened, in the almost 2 months, since my last post.
YIKES!
I had a birthday
Dmitri had a birthday
Daniel and I, had an anniversary
Dmitri started pre-k
Paige rolls both ways, and laughs.
Paige got her ears pierced

So going off the list, I turned the big 29. Crazy! Daniel had to work,
so it was just me and the kiddies. We also had Dmitri's friend Ava,
over for a bit.
She got here, while he was still sleeping. Once breakfast was ready,
I sent her, to go wake him up. He thought it was a brilliant idea! He
asked me, if she could wake him up every morning! x)
We went for sushi that night, and had cake and ice cream. So not too
bad! :)
Saturday I went to lunch, and shopping, with some girlfriend. Which
is always enjoyable! :)

Dmitri had a fun birthday too. He turned 4! I don't know how that
happened... Daniel had to work again, so the plan, was to open one
present, before he went to work. Once he came home, Dmitri could
open the rest, and we'd do cake and ice cream.
LOL that didn't sit to well, with a 4 year old. So he opened them all,
that morning.

I made him special birthday pancakes, and took him to the store, to
pick out one special present. I told him, no more than $20. He had
been wanting this Rescue Bot Transformers firestation -- and when
we came across it, I told him no, because it's more than the amount
I said. It also happened to be by the sale stuff, but had no price. I
asked the sales lady, and she didn't scan it, but told me it wasn't on
sale. Lol I didn't trust her....... so I put it in the cart, to be sure.
We got to the front, and they scanned it. It was on sale, for $21!! The
original price, was $50. So he scored big time, on that one! :D
Dmitri also had his well check, on his birthday. Aren't I a nice mom... ;)
He has no cavities, and is 40lbs {80%} and 41.5 inches tall {75th}.
Not too shabby!
He wanted strawberry alien cupcakes, as his birthday treat :)


Mine and Daniel's 5 year anniversary, was this past week. He had
to work, again... We kept it low key, and went to PF Changs. We
brought the kiddies with us, and surprisingly, Dmitri slept through
the whole dinner! I guess school wiped him out! Paige just chilled in
her seat, so it was almost like it was just the two of us ;)


Dmitri started pre-k, last Monday {8/13}. He has been very excited,
to start school. He was number 4, on the waiting list, and made it in!
I was having a hard time with it, because he's basically in full time
school. He goes M-F from 8:30-3:30. Crazy!
I miss him like crazy, but it has been wonderful for him. His first day
though, his teacher said, he did not listen to a thing they said. She
said he wouldn't keep his shoes on, or his hands to himself. Yikes!
So when we got home, I talked to him about it, and told him how he
is supposed to act in school. We went over it, repeatedly.
Luckily, since then, he has gotten all smiley faces! His teachers have
said he is doing wonderfully! He likes to sing to songs he learns there,
and it's adorable!
It is a struggle, getting him up though. He doesn't like that he can't
wear his superhero costumes to class, or bring toys. They also have
nap time, and every morning he informs me, he's NOT sleeping there.
So I told him to just lay there, quietly, and think of funny things, or
count. So he does. Though sometimes, he tells jokes, to the other non-
sleepers. I love him! :]

So Miss Paige, is getting quite big! She went in, for her 2 month appt,
at 3 months. She was 12.4lbs {36%} and 24.5inches {68%}. She LOVES
to move around. I predict she will be crazy, just like her brother.
She rolled from back to belly, on July 13th {at 3 months}. She rolled belly
to back, on August 2nd at 3 3/4 months.
I just looked it up, and Dmitri rolled from belly to back, on November 15,
2008, at 3 months. He rolled back to belly, on January 13th, 2009, at
5 months. She so has him beat, on back to belly -- but he has her beat,
on belly to back.

Also on July 13th, Paige got her ears pierced. I was going back and forth
on it, thinking I should wait until she's older, or decides she wants to do it.
Then said, meh. Let's just do it! It was easy peasy. She cried, but was over
it right after! She looks so pretty, with her blinging ears ;)

On August 16th, Paige tried rice cereal. I wouldn't say she's 100%
ready for it, but she is just not staying satisfied! So we tried it. She
liked it okay, and did the usual spit out, silly faces -- but she's not
a full fledged solid's eater yet!

I totally forgot to blog, about Dmitri's party!
He had a Lego themed party, this year.
We made a ghetto slip 'n slide, which actually worked
pretty well!
He had a lot of fun, though he did throw a 20 minute
tantrum, and was sent to his room. It may be his
party, but he CANNOT cry, if he wants to ;)
