About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Heart attack!

I just finished this entire post - then logged into my
email to add one more picture. My internet froze, and
I lost the entire post - even though I hit save. I'm pretty
dang peeved!!!!! >:[

Ugh... so here we go again.

Saturday, woke up and went to yoga. The instructor
focused on hamstrings - and mine were pretty stinkin'
tight! So I was in pain most of the class, and was eying
the clock...

Once I got home, I started breakfast. A friend told me
about coconut french toast, and let me tell you... heavenly!
Seriously - so yummy! You just use coconut milk, instead
of regular milk, and then add some coconut extract. Yum!

Sunday we actually got out of the house for church, ahead
of schedule! Daniel has a new calling, he's the Sunday School
vice pres. Luckily he doesn't have to do too much - since
they have to same teachers, and the teachers have the
schedule all worked out.
He's still teaching once a month in Priesthood, and it was
his Sunday to teach. So he had a lot going on.

Dmitri's friend Averie is finally in Nursery with him. This
was not planned... but look how stinking cute they are!
He wore a red and white polka dot tie, and she had on a
red and white polka dot dress. Adorable!Sunday, Dmitri got a new bed! He was so so excited! We
got it from his friend Aiden, and Dmitri was thrilled when
he saw it! He even 'helped' put it together. We also got a Thomas toy box, that's pretty big, and his
bed has a smaller toy box attached at the end. So a lot of
storage!!Thomas makes good forts too...The following morning, he even cleaned his own room. I
think "all but the kitchen sink' applies here... ;)During the day, he plays trains, and will put on his conductor
hat, and blow his choo choo whistle. So he's a happy boy!On Valentine's Day - Daniel had to work. But Dmitri had
a heartastic day! He also got a turtle pillow pet. He has
wanted one for awhile When he first saw them at Target,
he insisted on carrying two - and threw a full on fit when
we made him put them back... So he loves his turtle!

Breakfast - pink heart pancakes. He thought they were
pretty cool! I also attempted to make strawberry
hearts. Meh.
Lunch - a heart shaped pb&j. He wasn't impressed... we've
done the shaped sandwiches before, so I guess it was old
news :\Dinner - I made homemade heart pasta. Not too bad!
Daniel liked them - but apparently Dmitri isn't a fan of
Parmesan. Of course.the pasta, dryingI also made cake balls. So way good!!!Tonight, I went to a skin care class at church. It was
really fun - and I learned a lot I didn't know before! We
also gave ourselves facials and masks. So my skin feels
wonderful!!
They had child care set up, which was perfect, since
Daniel was playing basketball at church that night.

So I went to drop Dmitri off in the Nursery... and he
wasn't having it. A tired no nap baby, just wanted to
stick with his momma!
One of the guys in there, told me just to leave him,
and go have fun. So I handed Dmitri over, and went
back to the class. Dmitri wasn't happy - but he got
over it fast! He did not want to leave. That always
seems to happen. He was loving it! He got chased
by the older kids - and he absolutely loves playing
like he's one of the big kids!
So it was a fun night for all of us!

Dmitri has become quite a techy boy. Like father
like son... he has his own folder on my phone. Some
of his favorites are; Talking Roby, Talking Hippo,
ABC match, reg match, Super Why! and shapes
puzzle. His top favorite is Talking Roby. He really thinks
he's interacting with the robot. Or "obot" as he calls
them. Obots are his new favorite thing... But the
robot will repeat what you say, in a robot voice, and
you can also type in things for the robot to say. Like
"Hi Dima!"
I'll open the app, and Dmitri will say something
like "Hi obot! What doing? What you doing obot?"
So here's Dmitri reading to obot... and this morning
he was giving obot a tour of his room. It's pretty
adorble!I think that covers it all... oh - except something ate
all my carrots and peppers!! I went to water, and they
were all gone! Like gone - not a thing left!! Snail? Bird?
I dunno.... lame!

But see the cute plates I got thrifting last Saturday!
Oh yes... and so sweet... :)
