About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

Do as I'm doing....

A quick post - because I'm dead tired.

Saturday we had dinner with a girl Daniel
works with - and her husband.
It was at their house - and we had an
excellent time.
Despite the constant chasing and distracting
Dmitri from touching all things glass.

We took a walk around the neighborhood
afterwards - and checked out some of the
landscapes.
They gave us some avocados from their
tree. Dmitri wanted to look at one. I let him
hold it - and - he takes a big ol' bite out of
it. Shell and all.
He made the 'yucko' face - but still attempted
another bite X}

Sunday Daniel had to work. I had to teach
my CTR class - so that meant Dmitri had
to come with me.
Well - we were a half hour late to church -
so we didn't get off to a good start.
It also didn't help that my bags {2} were
10lbs each - and Dmitri 20. So I was sweating
bullets.
The kids were SO excited that Dmitri was in
class with them.
I only had 3 kids that day - so that worked out.

The kids were VERY helpful and they all
wanted to hold Dmitri. I was surprised he made
it out with all his limbs :}
Dmitri did really well - he sat on my lap during
Sharing Time - mostly because Sharing time is
pretty much music time.
The teacher leading the music was choristing
with her hand {you know what I mean}
and Dmitri was humming and waving his hand
too. Okay - totally melted my heart!
I wanted to eat him up!!! XD

Then we sang Do As I'm Doing and the action
was jumping - so Dmitri jumped with the
rest of the kids - and again - melted my heart.

It was just so cute seeing such a little guy
with such bigger kids.

And my kids were so aware of him. They
made sure he was happy and involved.
I only had one boy that day - and oddly enough
he enjoyed Dmitri the most.
It was pretty adorable!

So the last half hour of Primary I had to leave
my class and walk Dmitri around. It was nap
time - and he doesn't sleep at church. Boo.

So that was church. I hope Daniel doesn't
have to work another Sunday for a LONG
while.
Like not until Dmitri's in Nursery.

The kids did ask me if I'd bring him next
Sunday though.
So sweet!
But no.
:}

Once we got home we both took a 3 hour
nap - and it was SO nice.

Today - Daniel worked again. Though he
has the next four days off.
Then works Friday and Saturday - then
basically off for a MONTH!
He's excited.
:]

But today he was charge nurse and they
had 10 patients - so he was running around
like crazy - and didn't take a break his
whole shift.
:(

Dmitri and I had a FAST day. It flew by.
I made him a backpack for the plane - and
he got into some glitter....
Never a good thing!
{it was ALL down his legs}
{he was only giving action shots of his backpack}{he's big into the mechanics of things....}Then we took a walk around our area.

We got back and I needed to water the lawn.
So I turned the sprinkler on... and he ran
through it.
So I stripped him down to his shorts and
let him run through it.

Yea - he loved it.
:)

  2. Such a cute backpack. I've just been thinking about making one for each of our little ones too. How did you do it?!

  3. Ok, we definitely need to get Andrew more acclimated to water. Except for baths that's his only time he's involved with water. I know I've said it a million times but you are SO talented. I love the backpack. You have a great eye for fabric choices. Have fun in Utah. Are you still going to post?
