Weekends weekends!

Weekends weekends. I love em! Yea - I'm home all week - but still, they feel special.
I love them cause Daniel's home, and people are in an all around better mood. Saturday mornings smell different too :}
I just remember how good they felt when I was a kid. And I think that also carries over to now.
Well anyways - yesterday morning we headed to a beach on the North Shore. The surf report said the waves were about 10-15 feet. We got there and the waves were pretty big. On some parts of the beach people weren't allowed to swim because of rip currents - and the waves. So we went further down the beach [my intention was just to tan:] and found a nice spot.
Daniel did some body boarding - I did some tanning - and Dmitri did some sleeping. We also got to watch some excellent surfing! They were only letting experienced surfers go out - and these guys were pretty experienced. So that was cool!
We stayed a couple hours - long enough to get pelted with sand a few times due to the gusty wind.
After that we had lunch, lounged around, and then headed to a specialty baby store.
I've been thinking about switching Dmitri to cloth and all in one diapers. They just seem better. Eco friendly - and cost effective! Plus I've asked around and have received some great feedback regarding them. Well there are 2 stores here that sell the all in one diapers [2 different brands though]. One is USA Baby. I called to see if they sell them in their stores. The lady said yes, but they didn't have them in stock - though they were on order. She said it'd be faster to buy them online because [holy moly] they should get to the store in a couple of MONTHS!
Well there is another store here that sells an all in one diaper - I called them, and they had some in stock! Wahoo!
So Daniel and I headed over to check them out. We [of course] got stuck in traffic heading into Honolulu - and ended up getting to the store 5 minutes after it closed! Oh - and it closes at 4 M-Saturday. Lame.
So I'll have to head there another day. Ohwell.
We decided to grab lunch while we were there - and picked a burger and sub place. The food tasted excellent - but didn't settle so well :[ I don't know if it was food poisoning - or if we're not used to greasy food since we haven't been out in a while :\ I don't know. Needless to say it was a tense ride home - and once there - some MAD dashing to the bathroom. Lovely :|
Lets see. So today we attended our [soon to be] new ward. It starts at 8 [really] and the place we're staying now is a half hour away. So we woke up bright and early - and headed out.
I chapel is interesting. It's very tropical - a lot of tropical plants and open courtyards. It's kind of a maze too :\
But church was excellent. Everyone was so so nice and we shook A LOT of hands. Also - there seem to be a good amount of people our age. So that's a plus :)
After church we headed home - got lunch and lounged around. Dmitri's bEQAEn qaQ <-- that's Dmitri] Dmitri's been kind of crazy lately. He does this weird whimpery whine thing. I don't know - but he sounds like Misha - cause she always does that. A funny thing he did today! I was making noises and making my lips do different shapes to make the noises diffenent. Well he was totally mezmirized by it. I turned to look at something on the computer - but was still making the noises. So he grabs my face and turns it back to him so he could see. He's never done that before, so I thought maybe it was just a fluck thing. So I continued to make the noises and turned my face back to the computer. He again - grabs my face and turns it back to him so he could watch. It was so funny! Oh I love him! So anyways. That was our weekend. Daniel works tonight from 7-7 - his first official nursing shift. But I hope it goes quick for him and he doesn't get too tired!
