About Me

My photo
We are Daniel and Sara. We met October of 2006 and were married August of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then we're kind of in the fast lane. We both got the baby bug pretty early on in our marriage and we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Dmitri in August 2008! We couldn't be happier! Daniel is a Captain in the Army and has his Bachelors in Nursing. We're living in HI and so far are enjoying our time here! I'm a stay at home mommy and am looking forward to finishing school. Blah :} Dan enjoys; hunting, basketball, shooting ranges, movies, *sigh - video games and Halloween. Sara enjoys; crocheting, baking, aquariums, sewing, shopping, swimming and trying to get organized. Dmitri enjoys; trying new food, crawling, bath time, stroller rides, electronics and getting into things he shouldn't. It takes all kinds to make up a family - and we cherish and love our little family! :)

My month of projects!

I've been keeping myself busy with projects this past month.
Unfortunately - I have some that I have to put aside till after we're settled in HI - since my sewing machine and supplies are already on their way there :(
But I've decided to start a new fun hobby...
making stuffed animals! :D
I've made 2 already. A platypus and an owl for Dmitri.
I made the platypus a few weeks ago and the owl today. So fun!
With the owl - I made my own pattern. It's my first attempt at both platypus and owl, but I'm pretty happy with the turnouts.
Here are some pics
The first is the quiltie owl
[it's eyes come out weird in the pics]
the platypus
He's already been washed - there was either poo, or baby food on him. So he was washed just in case the spot was poo :}
This blanket I made for my sis in law for Christmas. I was way excited about it - and thought it turned out really nice
And I made these birthday calendars. The green is for me - and the orange my mom.
I made a blue one for my aunt for Christmas - I'll have to post a pic of that one later.

And I thought I'd be crafty and do these baggies for our stockings. I didn't do too much with them - but they were kind of cute.
I still need to post the other stockings [my dads, moms and aunts that I made. I have a few little things to finish up on them though
