Little Dmitri turned 2 weeks old on Saturday! To me it feels like it's been much longer then 2 weeks - his delivery and our hospital stay just seems like a world away. That and on some level - it feels like he's always been here.
Well anyways - he weighed in at 7 lbs and about 21 3/4 long. That's some progress since he started out at 6lbs 10oz and 19 1/2" long. Our little guy is getting so big - and getting quite the double chin :)
He did so good at his appointment. He just let them do whatever while he looked around and acted all cute. I could just eat him up!! :D
I did have a moment and panic when they took him in to have his PKU shot. I was holding him while we waited and he was cracking smiles - broke my heart to think in a few minutes he'd be in tears :( Well they took him back and pricked his little foot - he took it like a champ! He didn't cry until he got mad they wouldn't give him his foot back when he wanted it. But yes - our little trooper!
So yea - he's developing quite nice and normal. Head size is in proportion with his body - back, legs and neck are good. He's been smiling and is getting the hang of holding his pacifier in by himself. He's also been practicing lifting his head. He can get it up there pretty high and hold it about 5 - 10 seconds. Yay! Next appt is in 2 months - seems so far away - but it'll be here before I know it.
